WHO WE ARE
The Society of the Sisters of Social Service is an international religious community founded in 1923 in Hungary. We are a Roman Catholic Society for Apostolic Life. It developed into three branches which are united by a Federation. Our branch with its center in Budapest consists of five districts: Cuban, Hungarian, Romanian, Slovakian and the one in the United States with sisters ministering in the diocese of Buffalo (NY) and the archdioceses of Miami (FL).

We participate in the social mission of the Church, which we see as embracing the many needs of society arising from social, religious, economic, environmental, cultural and civic conditions. By our prayerful presence and commitment to action, we wish to be in the heart of the world.
